Aaron and Brooke met back in 2016. We often went camping with the same group of friends, without realising at the time that our friendship would eventually turn into something more.

Although we both worked at the Harwood Sugar Mill, we didn’t really cross paths at work—at least not at first. After one camping trip, however, Aaron suddenly found plenty of reasons to visit the office, regularly popping in to “borrow” pens, highlighters, and pencils he didn’t actually need, just for an excuse to see the receptionist at the front desk (Brooke).

Towards the end of the year, we started meeting up in Grafton, and from there things just clicked. Catch-ups became more regular, and before we knew it, we were inseparable. Life quickly filled up with fishing trips, 4WDing adventures, camping with friends, and plenty of evenings grabbing takeaway and heading to the beach. During this time, Aaron and Brooke stayed with Mel and Col before eventually settling down in Gulmarrad.

At 21 & 23, we bought our first home together—our forever home—set on one acre with a pool. We were so lucky to have the help of both our parents, brothers, and friends in working on the property, and we’re incredibly thankful for all the support along the way. Since then, it’s been the place where we’ve hosted countless birthdays and Christmases, making it a home filled with memories we truly cherish.

In 2019, we welcomed Bear, our golden Labrador—affectionately known for his love of food, being the best door bell & his cuddles. In 2021, Koda, our black Labrador, joined the family, bringing tail wags 24/7, the calmness to the house, and a very good sense for knowing when the fridge door is open. Together, they’ve added plenty of chaos, laughter, and love, and truly turned our house into a home.

Now, having just celebrated nine years together in December 2025, we’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you who have been part of the journey along the way.
